The HornetTek Prolinux is a multi-functional NAS designed for home or small business. It provides SAMBA server for file sharing, FTP server for remote access, and other servers, such as WEB server, MySQL server, Download server (BT/HTTP/FTP/MetaLink), and iTune/uPnP server. Yet additional powerful services of DDNS and PPPoE are included. The HornetTek Prolinux is an excellent mini but super SOHO server with its enriched networking features.
Native Server and Extension Server: SAMBA and FTP servers are two native servers which are embedded in the Prolinux nor-flash by default. Extension servers are installed in the HDD after the NAS system is built up. It's convenient for users to install the network services at their discretion. Extension servers are WEB, MySQL, iTune, uPnP, Download server & DDNS service, etc..
Efficient Raid management: equipped with Hardware Raid, HornetTek Prolinux supports Raid 0, Raid 1. Configured at HW raid, system & data rebuild and recync performs as high efficiency.
